Friendship Coaching FAQ

  • “Friendship Coaching” is an unregulated position and title given to those who want to help others make friends and platonic relationships. I consider it a niche or offshoot of “Life Coaches” and the likes.

This is not a replacement for Therapy or Counselling of any kind.

The primary goal of a “Friendship Coach” is to assist clients in making meaningful connections. Friendship, as a concept, is extremely broad and can take many forms. We are a social species and friends are hugely important in fulfilling those needs. Helping people find what kind of friends they need in the moment, in their current phase of life, or just in general is something I want to help people with.

In our sessions, we are going to cover healthy ways of approaching friendships, growth focused philosophies, practices to use out in the world, resources to utilize, successes and growth points, and so much more!

  • Every new client will have a consultation with Michael. We will discuss the hurdles you’d like to overcome, some ground rules and boundaries for how we’d like our sessions to go. Once all of that has been established, we’ll set our plan in motion.

Each session will have a similar flow:
    - Touch base
    — How are you feeling today?
    — If anything happened with a friend that you’d like to share and/or talk about?
    — How did any “homework” go? (if we assigned any from the last session)

    - Let’s talk about our “Theme”
    — Talk about what roadblock you’ve encountered
    — Talk philosophies
    — Talk tools, best practices, and brainstorm new ideas to try out

    - Let’s set a plan, healthy goals, and homework
    — Define what “healthy” means to you
    — Talk about things to keep in mind and to always be the best friend you can be to yourself

  • We can! Should that be something you are interested in, please discuss it with Michael.

The set up would be meeting in a public space. Areas like a park, a store, or even an active event would be ideal places to go and try to make connections. Every friendship starts with a “Hello” and takes time to build.

Our goals in these exercises would be to practice greetings, reading the chemistry between you and the other person, dialogue, small vs medium vs big talk, and disengagement.

  • Our sessions will generally all be virtual.

There is availability to have in person sessions in public spaces upon request.

Hype Person FAQ

  • This service takes many forms: “Cheer Leader”, “Double Body”, “Muse”, “Sounding board”, etc.

In short, hire me to help you solve your creative problems, generally (or specifically) inspire you, and be your cheerleader!

  • A typical session will be talking with you and being the resource you need in that moment. It can be as we go on adventures. It can be going to go eat. It can be playing video games together. I’m here to be your hype person in whatever form you’re needing.

We can discuss meeting in person or at other locations as your creative needs calls for it.

  • This will need to be discussed between us. As a default, we will assume things will be virtual.

“Personal Producer” FAQ

  • Similar to a personal assistant or like positions, this service is meant to help you organize what work you have on your plate.

    In short, your “accountabilibuddy”!

  • We’ll start by establishing the full range of support you need and what regular touch points you want. These touch points can include planning meetings, reviews, task creation and assignment, retrospectives, and any other traditional project management type meetings.

Once we have our set up to the degree you like it, we execute from there. I’ll check on you regularly to make sure you’re feeling confident. I will help ensure things are going the way you want them and assist if things aren’t in the ways I can.

  • This service is tailored to helping you, a singular person, directly. If you are needing my services for a business endeavor, we will need to discuss that differently.

You are looking for support on a group effort that is not affiliated to a business, we can also discuss that!

  • Our sessions will default to being virtual. As we go through our consultation, we should discuss what would be the best to assist you and your work.

Resume Review FAQ

  • Yeah! It can also be interview prep! It can also be talking philosophy about interviewing, resumes, and the wide array of situations.

I love interviews and I can help you level up your skills!

  • We will get together and review your resume. We’ll go over my quick suggestions and recommendations. At which point, I will ask what realm you’d like to focus on first and we’ll take it from there!

  • I cannot make any guarantees.

Anything related to hiring can be very subjective. I aim to help you be the brightest and best presenting version of yourself and your skills within hiring scenarios.

  • These will generally be virtual or over email unless we are doing interview prep.
